📰 PRPA Updates 📰

More Punk Rock Pinball updates continue to come through as the association grows.
First things first: Our very own Tiffany Han is one of the official co-commissioners! Alongside her includes Madison Pinball’s Hilton Jones, Eastern Iowa Belle’s Emily Gross, along with some other folks who were already supporting Mike and Stephanie, (the creators of PRPA).
The PRPA scenes are live as well. Instead of looking at the full leaderboard, you can apply filters based on scenes which provide a regional leaderboard. Our scene is “Madison, WI” which includes all of the Madison and Middleton PRPA tournaments. The scene filter can be applied to the women’s leaderboard as well. You can see our scene leaderboard here.
The PRPA is currently looking at limiting the number of tournaments that count towards your scene/regional rankings. This will assist in scenes looking to host their own championships. They’re thinking somewhere around 20-25 games counted but would love to get input from the community. Please let Tiffany know your thoughts. Madison has already had its yearly tournament through Madison Pinball. Madison Pinball will be switching from IFPA to PRPA for qualifying for the championships this year. There is no women’s championships at this point, but this is something we can consider if there is interest.

On Wednesday, February 11th, we had a fun evening with 14 Belles at Aftershock Classic Arcade Bar! We had one new person and Wes of A Room of One’s Own Bookstore came to sponsor the event and play with us! They brought some sweet bumper stickers and even brought one of their favorite pinball books!
After 5 rounds of Matchplay, Cora led the charge into finals with Game of Thrones, Taxi, and Monster Bash.

There were 6 arenas total with the best 5 counting. Everyone could play up to 12 games total.

📅 Upcoming Events 📅
Our next events are at The Kickback Bar. This upcoming Wednesday on March 11th will be five rounds of Matchplay. Registration starts at 6PM, and we start at 6:30PM. This is an IFPA + PRPA event.
The following event will be on March 22nd for our March Flipper (Frenzy) Madness. We will play 90 minutes of non-stop head-to-head play. We will take 1-2 scheduled breaks to allow for folks to refresh on drinks and use the restroom. Registration begins at 11:30AM, and we start playing at 12:00PM. This is only a PRPA event.
We have a third event on March 29th for our Pokémon Launch Party! We will do our usual score-based pin-golf qualifying. Besides trophies, there will be a Grand Champion plaque to win. Registration starts at 11:30AM, and we start playing at 12:00PM. This is only a PRPA event.
Because of the Midwest Gaming Classic and other conflicts, this event is replacing the April Sunday event.
We encourage you to RSVP on Facebook to these events. It helps the engagement on our page and can drive additional viewers to the event.
Entry fee for all events is $5 + token drop. $1 of the March 11th fee will go to the IFPA.
Also, Ladies Flip Wisconsin has another event coming up. See below.
⭐ Pin Tip: Qualifying Stewie Pinball ⭐

Who doesn’t love a little pinball-ception? Ever wanted to get into the mini-playfield in Family Guy but didn’t know how to qualify it? We’ve got you!
To get into the mini-playfield, you’re looking to qualify for Stewie’s Pinball. The most straightforward path is to hit the captive ball next to the scoop to the right. It’s the most accessible and easy to accidentally hit if you miss the nearby shots. Once all of the PINBALL lights are lit (and you’re not locked out due to being in a different mode), hit the right scoop to start Stewie’s Pinball.
In this mode you need to complete the characters by spelling their names. Note that the ball save is timed.

Bonus Tip: If you want to extend your ball save during Stewie’s Pinball, hold off on starting the mode right away. Instead, smash the the two Stewie targets. Your starting ball save time is 15 seconds. Hitting a target gets you 1 second and hitting both gets you 2 seconds.

👏 Round of Applause 👏

On February 14th, four of our Madison ladies drove to Oshkosh to participate in Ladies Flip’s tournament at Glow in the Park! Great representation from our regionn!
Congrats to Tiffany for making it to top 4! Kudos to Cora and Donelle who were able to hit the Target Matchplay score by the end of qualifying.

Tumiracle was on fire last month! Not only did she win our Pinball Olympics, winning her first Belles event — she also won her first Aftershock event two days later! Way to slay, Tumiracle!
We hope you see a double rainbow this month!
